Last updated: 2026-08-05 ABALOG PARENT PRIVACY POLICY This policy explains what data ABALog Parent collects, how we use it, and your choices. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT When you use ABALog Parent, we collect: - ABC Logs: Timestamped entries you create documenting antecedents, behaviors, and consequences for your child. These include any text notes, activity tags, and time data you input. - User Account Information: Email address, name, and password (encrypted) if you create an account for cloud sync. - Family and Therapist Information: Names and email addresses of family members and BCBAs you invite to share reports, stored only to enable sharing permissions. - HealthKit Data: With your permission, we read sleep and activity data from Apple HealthKit solely to generate correlation charts within the app. - Device Information: Your device model, iOS version, and app version for crash reporting and troubleshooting. - Subscription Data: Purchase history and paywall interactions (managed by Apple; see Apple's privacy policy). We do not collect location data, precise health diagnoses, photos, or audio (despite background audio permissions—these are only for compatibility with iOS background modes and are not recorded or transmitted). WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE All ABC log entries, custom activity profiles, and generated charts remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to sync them. This includes all notes, timestamps, and activity tags. Your HealthKit data never leaves your device; we read it locally to generate correlations. WHAT WE SEND TO OUR SERVERS If you enable cloud sync, we send: - ABC log entries (antecedents, behaviors, consequences, timestamps, and notes) - Customized activity profiles - Family member and BCBA email addresses (to manage sharing permissions) - Generated PDF and CSV reports you export for sharing Data is encrypted end-to-end using HIPAA-compliant encryption during transit and at rest on our servers. WHAT WE SHARE Your data is never sold. We share ABC logs and reports only with family members and therapists you explicitly invite via email address. BCBA or pediatrician access requires your approval through in-app controls. We do not use your data for marketing, behavioral profiling, or machine learning training. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES ABALog Parent uses only standard Apple frameworks (HealthKit, CloudKit for optional sync, and iOS Shortcuts integration). We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple handles all subscription payments and has its own privacy policy at apple.com/privacy. YOUR CHOICES You can: - Keep all data offline by disabling cloud sync - Delete any ABC log at any time - Remove invited family members or therapists from your sharing list - Revoke HealthKit permission in Settings > Privacy > Health - Request deletion of your cloud account and all synced data DATA RETENTION ABC logs remain on your device indefinitely until you delete them. Cloud-synced data persists until you delete your account or individual entries. Backups may be retained for 30 days after deletion. CHILDREN'S DATA This app is designed for parents to log observations about their own children as part of therapy support. We do not collect data directly from children under 13. Parent-created logs are subject to this privacy policy. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy.
