Privacy Policy Last updated: July 30, 2026 Loud Unicorn LLC ("we," "us," "our") built ChoreCoins Ledger. This policy explains what data ChoreCoins Ledger collects, why, and how it is handled. 1. What Data We Collect and Why Family Data (entered by the parent, stored on the parent's device): - Child profiles — first name or nickname and, optionally, an avatar choice. - Chores — chore name, value, and schedule defined by the parent. - Ledger transactions — chore completions the parent approves, amounts credited, payouts, and any adjustments, with dates. - Savings goals — goal name and target amount set for a child. Local Device Data: - App preferences and settings — stored locally via UserDefaults - Subscription and purchase status — whether you have unlocked paid features, verified locally via Apple StoreKit 2 2. What We Do NOT Collect - We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or government-issued identifiers - We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV) and do not use advertising SDKs - We do not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers - We do not use analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Amplitude, or Mixpanel) - We do not use crash reporting services - We do not connect to any bank, card, or financial institution - We do not move, hold, or process any real money - We do not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library - We do not create an account for a child and collect nothing from a child directly - We do not operate backend servers, and there is no login or cloud sync 3. Where Your Data Lives Everything is stored locally on the parent's device using Apple's on-device storage. There is no account, no login, and no cloud sync. Nothing about you or your children is transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data, including the full ledger. 4. This Is a Ledger, Not a Bank ChoreCoins deliberately has no banking integration. It does not open an account, issue a card, hold funds, or transfer money. It records what a parent says they owe and what they have paid, the way a notebook on the fridge would. That is the whole point: no fintech onboarding, no card for a seven-year-old, no financial data to leak. Actual payment happens between you and your child in cash or however you already do it. 5. Third-Party Services - Apple StoreKit 2 — purchase and subscription processing. Apple handles all payment data. We receive only anonymized transaction receipts. - Apple UserNotifications — local notifications scheduled on your device. Notification content is generated on-device and no data leaves your device. We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. 6. Children's Data ChoreCoins Ledger is designed to be set up and operated by a parent or guardian. Child profiles contain a first name or nickname, an optional avatar choice, and the chore and ledger records the parent enters. All of this data stays on the parent's device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. Because the app collects no data from a child directly and stores nothing off-device, it does not create an online collection of children's personal information. Data Retention and Deletion - Local data: retained on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app - Subscription and purchase records: managed by Apple 8. Security Data is protected by iOS application sandboxing and, if you have a device passcode set, by iOS data-at-rest encryption. Because nothing leaves your device, there is no server-side attack surface. 9. Changes to This Policy Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Your Rights Under GDPR Right of Access (Art. 15): All of your data is visible inside the app. We hold no server-side copy, so there is nothing for us to disclose. Right to Rectification (Art. 16): Edit or correct your data directly in the app. Right to Erasure (Art. 17): Delete items inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. Your CCPA/CPRA Rights Right to Know: All of your data is visible inside the app. We hold no server-side copy, so there is nothing for us to disclose. Right to Delete: Delete items inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. Right to Correct: Edit your data directly in the app. Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share — no action required.
