Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY Decrypto is a local multiplayer board game app designed for teams to hide secret words, exchange coded clues, and attempt to intercept opponents' codes. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, and we've designed Decrypto to collect as little data as possible. DATA COLLECTION AND USE Game State and Scores: Decrypto stores your game data locally on your device, including scores, turn history, clue logs, and game progression. This data remains on your device. We do not upload game data to our servers. Multiplayer Synchronization: When you play with teammates on the same device or join a game over your local network, Decrypto uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to share game state with other players. This sync happens entirely over your local network—no data leaves your home or venue. Each team's secret words remain encrypted and visible only to that team's devices. Clue Log and History: Decrypto maintains a persistent, scrollable clue log shared across all devices in your game session. This log is shared only via local network connection and is never sent to our servers. In-App Purchases: If you purchase the game or expansion packs, Apple's App Store and StoreKit handle all payment processing. We do not store or see your payment method, billing information, or payment details. Your purchase status is verified locally and synced to other devices in your session to enforce our one-purchase-covers-the-table pricing model. App Clip Usage: Decrypto offers an App Clip that lets guests join games via room code without installing the full app. Apple collects basic technical data about App Clip usage, but we do not receive personally identifying information. Device Identifiers: Decrypto uses device identifiers generated by MultipeerConnectivity to facilitate local network play. These identifiers are not associated with your Apple ID or personal identity. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT We do not collect analytics, behavioral data, or gameplay statistics. We do not track individual clues, secret words, or game outcomes. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services. We do not require an account, login, or personal information. SECURITY Your game data is stored securely on your device using iOS's native security framework. All local network communication uses industry-standard encryption provided by MultipeerConnectivity. DATA RETENTION All game data stored on your device persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. When you uninstall Decrypto, all locally stored data is deleted from your device. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
