Privacy Policy Last updated: May 5, 2026 1. INTRODUCTION Location Facts ("App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed by Loud Unicorn LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our iOS application and associated services. We are committed to handling your data with transparency and care. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT 2.1 Location Data The App collects your GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) when you have granted location permission and are actively using the App. Location data is used exclusively to query our backend API for trivia facts relevant to your current position. We do NOT store, log, retain, or share your location. Your coordinates are transmitted over HTTPS, used for a single real-time query, and immediately discarded — no location history is maintained on our servers. 2.2 Anonymous Usage Events The App sends anonymous usage events (such as app opens, feature interactions, and error reports) to our internal analytics endpoint. These events include: device type, iOS version, app version, and general feature usage. They are strictly anonymous and are never linked to your name, email, advertising ID, or any personal identifier. We cannot and do not identify individual users from these events. 2.3 Favorites and Preferences If you save facts to your Favorites or configure preferences in Settings, this data is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data. 2.4 In-App Purchases All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. We receive only a transaction confirmation from Apple. We do not receive, store, or process your payment information. 2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), precise location history, contacts, photos, camera data, browsing history, or any other sensitive personal information. We use no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers. 3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION Location data is used solely to retrieve nearby trivia facts from our database. Anonymous usage events are used to improve App stability, performance, and features. No data is used for advertising, marketing, or profiling. 4. DATA SHARING AND THIRD PARTIES We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties for commercial purposes. We use no external data processors or service providers that receive your personal data. Disclosure may occur only if required by a valid legal order, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless legally prohibited. 5. DATA RETENTION Location data is not retained. Anonymous usage events are retained for up to 24 months and then permanently deleted. Local favorites and preferences are retained on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. 6. SECURITY All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS 1.2 or higher. Local data on your device is protected by iOS Data Protection. Our API endpoints require authentication keys. While we apply industry-standard measures, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will promptly delete the data. 8. GDPR (EUROPEAN USERS) If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA: our legal basis for processing location data is your explicit consent via iOS permissions. Our legal basis for anonymous analytics is our legitimate interest in improving the App. Location data is not retained, and usage events are anonymized and do not constitute personal data under GDPR. For any GDPR inquiries, contact us at the address in Section 11. 9. CCPA (CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS) We do not sell or share personal information. Anonymous usage events cannot be linked to your identity, so individual deletion requests cannot be fulfilled. You are not required to opt out of data sales because no sales occur. 10. WIDGET EXTENSION The App includes a WidgetKit extension that displays facts on your home screen. The widget reads data from a shared App Group container on your device only. It does not independently collect location data, transmit personal information, or contact any servers. 11.
