Maze Delay · updated 2026
Terms of Service Last updated: April 8, 2026 1. About Maze Delay Maze Delay is a mindfulness app that creates a deliberate pause before you continue using your iPhone. The app presents mini-games (maze, wheel of fortune, hangman, mini crossword) as a friction layer before opening distracting apps. You can select which apps trigger this delay using Apple's Screen Time / FamilyControls permission, or you can manually trigger a pause at any time using the "Take a Pause" button. Maze Delay is built by Loud Unicorn LLC and is designed to help you build healthier phone habits through intentional pauses. 2. Who Can Use Maze Delay Maze Delay is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the app and agree to these Terms. 3. Permitted Uses - Select apps to apply the friction layer to using Screen Time permission (optional) - Play mini-games (maze, wheel of fortune, hangman, mini crossword) as a mindfulness pause - Use the manual "Take a Pause" button to trigger a game session at any time - Customize game preferences and notification settings - Subscribe to Maze Delay Pro for access to additional features 4. Screen Time / FamilyControls Permission Maze Delay requests optional access to Screen Time / FamilyControls to allow you to select which apps trigger the delay. This permission is entirely voluntary. If you decline or revoke Screen Time permission, Maze Delay continues to work using the manual "Take a Pause" button. By granting Screen Time permission, you allow Maze Delay to: - Display a list of installed apps so you can choose which ones to monitor - Detect when you launch a selected app (via DeviceActivityMonitor) - Present a mini-game before allowing you to proceed to the selected app All app selection data stays on your device. We do not see, store, or transmit your Screen Time data or app choices. You can revoke Screen Time permission at any time in iOS Settings > Screen Time > Apps. 6.
