Privacy Policy Last updated: April 16, 2026 1. Data We Collect Motivational Quotes collects only minimal preference data to operate the app and widget. No account is required. a) Saved / favorite quote IDs What: the numeric IDs of quotes you mark as favorites. Why: to display your Favorites collection and persist your saved quotes between app sessions. How stored: locally in UserDefaults on your device; optionally synced via iCloud (see Section 3). b) Preferred widget display settings What: your chosen widget size, theme, font, and background color preferences. Why: to render the home screen widget according to your customization choices. How stored: locally in UserDefaults, shared with the WidgetKit extension on-device; optionally synced via iCloud. c) Selected quote categories What: the categories you have enabled or hidden in the browse view. Why: to filter the quote feed to your interests. How stored: locally in UserDefaults; optionally synced via iCloud. d) Widget refresh preferences What: your chosen widget refresh frequency setting (e.g., every hour, every day). Why: to schedule WidgetKit timeline updates at your preferred interval. How stored: locally in UserDefaults. e) Reminder settings What: your configured notification times and frequency. Why: to schedule daily motivational reminders at your chosen times. How stored: locally in UserDefaults; optionally synced via iCloud. f) Streak and last open date What: your current daily streak count and the date you last opened the app. Why: to track and display your daily engagement streak. How stored: locally in UserDefaults; optionally synced via iCloud (highest value wins to avoid losing progress). 2. Local Storage All preference data is stored on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. The quote database is bundled in the app binary and never transmitted. 3. iCloud Sync If you are signed into iCloud on your device, the app uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore) to sync your preferences (categories, theme, reminders, streak) across your own Apple devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Loud Unicorn LLC does not have access to your iCloud data. Premium subscription status is never synced via iCloud — it is always determined by Apple StoreKit. 4. Third-Party Services • Apple StoreKit — processes auto-renewable subscriptions for Premium access. Loud Unicorn LLC receives only a transaction completion event — not your payment details. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. • Apple WidgetKit — the system framework used to render the home screen widget; all widget data is processed on-device. • Apple iCloud — used for cross-device preference sync as described in Section 3. No analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash-reporting tools, or tracking networks are included in this app. 5. What We Do Not Collect We do not collect: • Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers • Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or serial number) • Location data • Health or biometric data • Usage analytics, session duration, or screen recordings • Information about which specific quotes you read • Any data through advertising or tracking networks 6. Data Retention Preference data persists on your device until you delete the app. iCloud sync data persists in your iCloud account until you delete the app or clear iCloud storage in your device settings. There is no Loud Unicorn LLC server-side data to delete. 7. How to Delete Your Data • Delete the app: press and hold the app icon → Remove App → Delete App. All saved favorites, settings, and category preferences are erased from your device. • To remove iCloud sync data: go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage and remove app data, or sign out of iCloud. • To clear favorites: open the Favorites tab and remove individual quotes. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. 9. Changes We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use constitutes acceptance. 10.
