SCREENSHOT INBOX PRIVACY POLICY
Screenshot Inbox processes your photos on your device. We collect minimal data and don't sell it.
ON-DEVICE PROCESSING
All screenshot detection, Live Text extraction, and triage actions happen on your device. Your photos never leave your phone unless you explicitly send them somewhere.
When you use Act buttons—Send to Calendar, Send to Contacts, Send to Reminders, or Open in Safari—you're using Apple's built-in frameworks. Screenshot Inbox doesn't see those destinations or store what you send. That communication is between you and Apple.
DATA WE COLLECT
Screenshots: We don't store your screenshots on our servers. They live in your Photos app until you delete them through Screenshot Inbox.
Extracted content: When Live Text extracts an address, code, link, or recipe from a screenshot, that text stays on your device. It's processed locally by Apple's on-device Live Text engine. Screenshot Inbox doesn't transmit it elsewhere.
Usage analytics: We collect basic, anonymous data to improve the app—which features you use, how often you triage, what extraction types you convert. This data doesn't identify you personally and isn't sold or shared with anyone.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, we receive error logs to diagnose and fix bugs. These logs may include generic device information (iOS version, app version) but never include your photos or personal data.
PRO FEATURES
Auto-extraction rules, smart deletion schedules, bulk processing, and weekly cleared-count reports all run on your device. Pro features don't change what we collect or how we handle your data.
YOUR CONTROLS
You control iCloud sync for your Photos. If you enable it, iCloud backs up your photos per Apple's privacy policy, not ours. You can review the Photos app settings anytime.
The weekly cleared-count widget displays only on your device. We don't receive notifications about your counts or cleared screenshots.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Screenshot Inbox uses Apple frameworks (Photos, Calendar, Contacts, Reminders, Live Text). It doesn't integrate third-party analytics platforms, ad networks, or tracking services.
DATA RETENTION
Deleted screenshots are permanently gone. Once you hit Delete in Screenshot Inbox, the photo is removed from your device or moved to your Photos recovery bin per iOS settings. If you delete the app, all on-device extraction history and custom rules are deleted. We don't retain user data on our servers.
SECURITY
Screenshots are never uploaded to our servers. Crash reports transmit over HTTPS. Your photo library permissions are controlled by iOS—the app only accesses your camera roll when you grant permission.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we change this policy, we'll notify you in-app. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
