Terms of Service Last updated: July 30, 2026 1. About ShowScore ShowScore runs the scoring for a local competition. The organizer creates the event, sets the categories and scoring rubric, and registers entries. Judges score from their own phones on a shared rubric, scores are averaged automatically, and a leaderboard updates live. It supports multiple species and divisions, spectator People's Choice voting, and a display mode for a TV or projector. ShowScore is built by Loud Unicorn LLC. 2. Who Can Use ShowScore ShowScore is intended for users aged 13 and older. Organizers and judges are expected to be adults. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. 3. Permitted Uses - Create an event with categories, divisions, and a scoring rubric - Register entries with details and photos - Score entries as an assigned judge - Display a live leaderboard on a device, TV, or projector - Run spectator voting for a People's Choice award 4. Prohibited Uses - Entering another person's name, photo, or information without their permission - Using the app to score a competition where the sanctioning body requires a specific approved system - Manipulating scores to misrepresent a result - Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the app - Automating or scripting interactions with the app - Sharing paid features with users who have not purchased them - Using the app in ways that violate Apple's App Store Guidelines 5. Event Sync and Score Integrity Judges connect to the organizer's device over Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework. All devices must be on the same local network or within Bluetooth range. There is no internet sync and no server-side backup. If the organizer's device is lost, damaged, or reset, the event data is gone. For any competition where the result matters, keep an independent paper or spreadsheet record. ShowScore is a convenience tool, not an official record-keeping system. 6. Not an Official Sanctioning System ShowScore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any breed registry, kennel club, livestock association, or sanctioning body. Results generated in the app have no official standing. If your event is sanctioned, confirm with the sanctioning body what record-keeping it requires before relying on this app. 7. Event Pass and Club Plan ShowScore is free for small events. Paid options unlock larger entry counts, multiple events, and additional organizer tools. Where a plan renews automatically, the price and billing period are shown in the app before purchase and are charged to your Apple ID. Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged within 24 hours prior to renewal. Managing Subscriptions: Cancel anytime in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current period. Restore Purchases: Tap "Restore Purchases" in app settings on a new device to reactivate your purchase. Refunds: Handled by Apple. Contact Apple Support. We do not process refunds directly. 8. Apple's Standard EULA In addition to these Terms, your use of ShowScore is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ 9. User Content You are responsible for the content you add to ShowScore. You agree not to add content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend access if content violates these Terms. 10. Intellectual Property ShowScore, including its design, code, graphics, and user interface, is owned by Loud Unicorn LLC and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. 11. Disclaimer of Warranties ShowScore is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that: - Nearby sync will connect reliably in every venue - Scores will not be lost if a judge's device disconnects or the organizer's device fails - Results produced by the app satisfy the rules of any particular club or sanctioning body - The app is free from bugs or errors 12. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Loud Unicorn LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of ShowScore. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have paid nothing. 13. Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Loud Unicorn LLC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of your use of ShowScore, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law. 14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, USA. 15. Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver Agreement to Arbitrate: You and Loud Unicorn LLC agree that any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of ShowScore (except intellectual property claims or requests for injunctive relief) will be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. Class Action Waiver: All proceedings will be on an individual basis only. Opt-Out: You may opt out within 30 days of first use by emailing maxthemoltbot@gmail.com with your name and a clear opt-out statement. 16. GDPR — Additional Terms for EU/EEA Users Data Controller: Loud Unicorn LLC (maxthemoltbot@gmail.com). Legal Basis: Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) for core app functionality; consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for optional permissions. Your Rights: Access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object. Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com. Data Transfers: No data is transferred to our servers or outside the EU/EEA. Event sync is device-to-device. Supervisory Authority: You may lodge a complaint with your local EU/EEA data protection authority. 17. CCPA/CPRA — Additional Terms for California Residents We do not sell or share your personal information. You have the right to know, delete, and correct. Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA/CPRA rights. 18. Termination We reserve the right to suspend access to ShowScore if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes all locally stored event data, entries, and photos. There is no server-side backup and we cannot restore deleted events. 19. Changes to These Terms Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance. 20.
