Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY — CARTPACE CartPace is designed to operate entirely on your device. We collect minimal data and are transparent about what we do collect. DATA CARTPACE COLLECTS Price Entries and Budget Data When you manually enter item prices during your shopping trip, those prices are stored locally on your iPhone only. Your running total, remaining budget, and per-item calculations are performed and displayed on your device. This data is not sent to our servers. Purchase Information CartPace uses Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit 2) to manage the paywall. When you purchase CartPace, Apple processes the transaction and provides us with confirmation that a purchase occurred. Apple handles your payment information securely; we do not receive or store your credit card details. For details on how Apple handles your purchase data, see Apple's privacy policy. Crash and Error Logs If CartPace crashes or encounters an error, iOS may automatically send us a crash report containing technical information (device model, iOS version, stack trace). This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports do not include your price entries or budget data. Analytics We do not use third-party analytics tools. We do not track your shopping habits, budget amounts, or shopping frequency. App Integrity CartPace uses Apple's DeviceCheck framework to verify that our app is running on a legitimate device and has not been tampered with. This is standard iOS security and does not identify you personally. Siri Integration When you create or use a Siri Shortcut to launch CartPace, the shortcut executes entirely on your device. No shortcut data is sent to us. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT We do not collect or request: - Your name or contact information - Your location - Your shopping lists or item categories - Your store visits or shopping frequency - Notifications of your budget alerts - Live Activity or Dynamic Island display content - Any data from the home screen widget - Third-party behavioral tracking OFFLINE MODE CartPace functions fully offline. All features—price entry, budget calculations, Live Activity display, Dynamic Island alerts, widgets, and shortcuts—work without an internet connection or any communication with our servers. DATA RETENTION Your price entries and budget data persist on your device until you manually delete them or uninstall CartPace. Crash reports are retained by Apple for troubleshooting and deleted after 30 days. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES CartPace uses only Apple's native frameworks (StoreKit 2, DeviceCheck, WidgetKit, Live Activities, ActivityKit, WidgetKit, SiriKit). We do not integrate with analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY CartPace is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY If we materially change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you within the app or through the App Store. Continued use of CartPace after changes constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
