Last updated: 2026-08-05 CLEANDONE PRIVACY POLICY CleanDone connects short-term rental hosts with cleaners to coordinate and verify turnover cleaning. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. DATA WE COLLECT Host Account Data: When you create a host account, we collect your email address and subscription tier selection. This information is used to authenticate you, manage your subscription, and send service notifications. Cleaner Information: Hosts provide cleaner names and phone numbers (optional) when creating pairing codes. This data is stored on our servers to enable host-cleaner matching and communication. Photos: When a cleaner taps "done," the app captures a timestamped photo from your device camera. This photo is mandatory for completion and is uploaded to our servers. Hosts can view these photos to verify cleaning completion. Photos are retained according to your property's retention settings (typically 30–90 days). Check-In Windows: If you import your Airbnb or Vrbo calendar, we process that iCal data on our servers to automatically create and schedule check-in windows. We do not store your full calendar; we extract only dates, times, and property identifiers needed to trigger alerts and create Live Activity countdowns. Device Data: We collect your device's push notification token to send timely alerts to hosts and cleaners. We also collect your property address (optional) to display in your account and coordinate multi-property tiers. Usage Data: We log when check-in windows are created, when started and done taps occur, and when escalations are triggered. This data helps us operate the service and diagnose issues. WHAT STAYS ON DEVICE Pairing codes, account credentials (encrypted), and locally cached copies of your properties and schedules remain on your device. Cleaner App Clip users see no account information stored on their device—they authenticate entirely via pairing code. Completion photos are held temporarily during upload but not retained after synchronization to servers. WHAT WE SEND TO SERVERS Your host account information, cleaner metadata, timestamped completion photos, iCal-derived check-in windows, push notification tokens, and event logs are synced to our servers to coordinate real-time alerts, enable host review of completion photos, and trigger escalations. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES We use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to send timely alerts. Apple receives push notification tokens but does not have access to message content or photos. We may use subscription management services to process payments for monthly and annual plans; these services receive only your subscription tier and transaction data, not your photos or cleaner information. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION Completion photos are retained for 30–90 days by default, then deleted automatically. Host account data is retained for the lifetime of your account. If you delete your account, associated data (including pairing codes and photos) is deleted within 30 days. Cleaner App Clip data is not retained between sessions. SECURITY Photos and sensitive data are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond the services listed above.
