Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY — COVERIQ CoverIQ respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what remains under your control. RECEIPT DATA AND ANALYSIS When you scan a receipt using CoverIQ's Live Text feature, the receipt image and extracted text are processed on your device only. We do not transmit, store, or retain your receipt data on our servers. The app extracts product information, prices, and retailer details solely to match against our pre-loaded appliance failure rate database and calculate a warranty recommendation. This entire analysis happens offline on your phone. WARRANTY DECISIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS Your warranty recommendations—whether you choose to buy or skip a retailer's warranty offer—are stored on your device. We do not automatically send these decisions to our servers. You may optionally save confirmations to your Wallet for future reference; this data is managed by Apple's Wallet framework and remains on your device unless you choose to sync it via iCloud. THIRD-PARTY QUOTE REQUESTS If you tap to view third-party alternative warranty quotes, the app will send your product category and price information to external quote providers to fetch competitive options. We do not store this data; it is transmitted directly to the third-party service at your request. Third-party providers' privacy policies govern their handling of this information. We recommend reviewing those policies before requesting quotes. APPLIANCE FAILURE RATE DATA CoverIQ includes pre-loaded failure rate data for common appliances, organized by category and type. This data is stored on your device and never synced to our servers. We may update this dataset through app updates, but you control whether to install updates. IN-APP PURCHASE AND PAYWALL CoverIQ uses Apple's in-app purchase system to process payment for the app's full feature unlock. Apple processes all payment information. We receive only a transaction receipt confirming your purchase; we do not collect, store, or access your credit card details, Apple ID password, or payment method. Refund requests are handled through Apple's App Store. ANALYTICS AND LOGGING We do not collect analytics, crash reports, usage data, or identifiers tied to you personally. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs. Your use of the app remains private. ICLOUD SYNC CoverIQ does not use iCloud sync for app data. Any data stored in Apple Wallet remains under your control and follows Apple's iCloud privacy practices. NO ADVERTISING CoverIQ contains no advertising, no ad tracking, and no third-party ad networks. DATA SECURITY Your device handles all sensitive processing. We do not maintain user databases, accounts, or login systems. Receipt analysis, warranty calculations, and recommendation logic operate entirely on your iPhone or iPad. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY CoverIQ is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app's features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date will reflect any revisions.
