Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY FOR OPENSLOW OpenSlow is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and where it lives. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT OpenSlow collects only the information necessary to function: - App identifiers: When you mark an app as "distracting," we store the app's bundle identifier and the delay duration you set (5–120 seconds). This stays entirely on your device. - Countdown interactions: Whether you completed each countdown, dismissed it early, or opened the app anyway. Stored on-device only. - Stats and streaks: Your mindfulness rate, total countdowns completed, current streak length, and last interaction timestamp. These are calculated and stored on your device. - Widget preferences: Settings for your Home Screen widget (e.g., which stat to display). Stored on-device only. - Premium subscription status: If you purchase a premium subscription, we store a record of your subscription state to unlock premium features. This is synced to Apple's servers as part of standard iOS in-app purchase handling. We do not collect: your location, contacts, photos, browsing history, keyboard input, app usage outside of OpenSlow, or any personally identifiable information. HOW WE USE DATA All data is used solely to deliver the app's core functionality: displaying countdowns, tracking your progress, and syncing your subscription status across your Apple devices. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. ON-DEVICE vs. SERVER Nearly all OpenSlow data stays on your device. The only exception is your premium subscription status, which is managed through Apple's App Store and synced across your devices if you sign in with your Apple ID. This sync is handled by Apple, not by us—we cannot access or store your data on our servers. Your app list, delay durations, stats, streaks, and widget preferences never leave your device unless you explicitly back up or restore your iPhone through iCloud. If you restore from an iCloud backup, these settings will be restored to your new device. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OpenSlow uses only Apple's standard frameworks (UIKit, WidgetKit, StoreKit). We do not integrate analytics, crash reporting, advertising networks, or other third-party SDKs. DATA RETENTION Your data persists as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall OpenSlow, all on-device data is deleted. Apple may retain your subscription information for their records, subject to their privacy policy. YOUR RIGHTS You have the right to request deletion of all data we can access.
