FITFIGHT PRIVACY POLICY
FitFight is designed to be transparent about what data we collect and how we use it.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
Health and Fitness Data: FitFight requests read-only access to your HealthKit data, specifically your daily step count and sleep duration. You control this permission in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices. FitFight reads this data only — we do not modify, delete, or share it with HealthKit.
User-Provided Data: During onboarding, you provide your current weight, target weight, and goal date. You can manually log meals (marked as on-plan or off-plan, and categorized as light, normal, or heavy) and workouts. You can also edit or delete these logs at any time. This data is used to calculate your creature's growth states and battle outcomes.
Account and Subscription Data: If you subscribe to FitFight Premium, RevenueCat processes your subscription information (including receipt data) to manage your account and billing. RevenueCat's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.
Notification Preferences: FitFight stores your notification settings locally on your device. You can independently mute or enable four notification categories: battle alerts, powerup notifications, daily digests, and nudge reminders.
WHERE DATA STAYS
All of the following data remains stored exclusively on your device:
- Your HealthKit step and sleep readings (stored in local app cache)
- All meal logs and manual workout entries
- Your creature states, progress, experience points, and battle history
- Your notification preferences
- Your personalized fitness plan
FitFight does not sync this data to our servers or back it up to the cloud. If you delete the app, this data is permanently lost.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
RevenueCat: If you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat handles billing and subscription management. They collect transaction data and app usage information as needed for billing and fraud prevention. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple HealthKit: FitFight requests read-only access to your step count and sleep data stored in HealthKit. Apple's privacy policy governs HealthKit. FitFight cannot access any other health data you store in HealthKit.
LOCAL NOTIFICATIONS
FitFight uses Apple's local notification framework to send you alerts about weekly battles, powerup drops, daily digests, and progress nudges. These notifications are triggered entirely on your device based on your fitness data and preferences. We do not track whether you open these notifications.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
You can delete all FitFight data by uninstalling the app. There are no FitFight servers storing copies of your meal logs, workouts, or creature progress. If you delete your RevenueCat subscription, your subscription status is managed by RevenueCat; contact them directly for questions about billing data retention.
DATA SECURITY
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption). FitFight does not encrypt data beyond what your operating system provides. Because all data stays on your device, it is not transmitted over the internet or exposed to network attacks.
CHILDREN
FitFight is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child has used FitFight, you can delete all their data by uninstalling the app from their device.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of FitFight after an update means you accept the new terms.
