Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY — GOLFGROUP GolfGroup lets you track golf scores and run side games with your playing group. Here's exactly what data we collect and where it goes. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT When you use GolfGroup, we collect: - Scores you enter (hole-by-hole, per player) - Player names in your groups - Side game type and rules selected - Round history and final standings - Settlement amounts (who owes whom) - Device analytics (app crashes and feature usage) For freemium features, we also track: - Whether you have an active subscription - In-app purchase records (processed by Apple) WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES Scores and player data can be stored either locally on your device only, or synced to our servers if you choose to enable it. Here's how: ON-DEVICE ONLY (default) All scoring, calculations, and game history stay on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to our servers. You can play entire rounds offline with no connection. If you delete the app, your data is deleted from your device immediately. WITH GROUP SYNC (optional) If you enable group sync, your scores and player names are encrypted and sent to our servers so that all players in your group see real-time standings. Each player must opt into sync individually. You can disable sync anytime from settings, which stops uploading new data. Previously synced data is retained on our servers for 30 days before permanent deletion. THIRD PARTIES We do not share your golf data with third parties. We do not sell your data. Our cloud infrastructure uses Apple's CloudKit. If you enable group sync, your encrypted data is stored on Apple's servers per Apple's privacy terms (apple.com/privacy). In-app purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit. We receive only confirmation that your subscription is active — not your payment method, billing address, or full name. ANALYTICS We collect anonymous app analytics through Apple's built-in system (crash reports, feature usage). This data is not tied to your identity. You can opt out in Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising. YOUR RIGHTS You can download or delete your data anytime from the app's settings menu. If group sync is enabled, deletion removes data from our servers within 30 days. You own all data you create in GolfGroup. We claim no ownership of your scores or group information. WHAT WE DON'T DO - We do not track your location - We do not require an account or email to use the app - We do not identify players individually across rounds (unless you enable sync) - We do not share settlement data with anyone CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We will announce material changes in-app before they take effect.
