Privacy Policy Last updated: August 3, 2026 Loud Unicorn LLC ("we," "us," "our") built JudgeIt. This policy explains exactly what data JudgeIt collects, why, and how it is handled. 1. What Data We Collect and Why Competition Data (core app functionality): - Competition details entered by the event director: event name, event code, scoring criteria and the weight given to each criterion. - Entry details: vendor, team or dish names added by the director so attendees know what they are rating. - Attendee votes: a one to five star rating per entry. - Judge scores: per-criterion scores submitted through the PIN protected judge panel. - Judge PIN: chosen by the event director to restrict the judge panel. It is a simple access code for the event, not a password tied to any account. This data is stored in Apple's CloudKit so that the director dashboard, the judges and the attendees at the same event all see the same scores in real time. JudgeIt is a cloud synced app, not a local only one. Device Identifier: - JudgeIt records your device's vendor identifier (Apple's identifierForVendor) alongside each vote and judge score. This is used for one purpose only: making sure a device can vote once per entry so nobody can stack the result for their friend. - This identifier is generated by Apple, is specific to apps from Loud Unicorn LLC on your device, and resets if you delete every app from us. It is not an advertising identifier, it is not used for advertising or cross app tracking, and it is not shared with anyone. Camera: - The camera is used to scan booth QR codes. Images are processed on your device to read the code and are never stored, uploaded or transmitted. Notifications: - If you allow notifications, JudgeIt schedules reminders on your device about running future competitions. These are local notifications. No push service and no notification data leaves your device. 2. What We Do NOT Collect - We do not ask for or collect your email address, phone number or name - There are no user accounts and no sign up - We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) - We do not track your location - We do not collect biometric data - We do not use advertising SDKs or share data with ad networks - We do not run analytics. JudgeIt contains no analytics SDK of any kind (no Firebase, no Amplitude, no Mixpanel) and sends no usage events anywhere 3. Data Storage Competition data, entries, votes and judge scores are stored in Apple's CloudKit under a container controlled by Loud Unicorn LLC. Some data is also cached on your device so the app works smoothly during an event. Deleting the app removes the locally cached copy. Competition records held in CloudKit are removed when the event director deletes the competition, or on request using the contact details below. 4. Third-Party Services - Apple CloudKit: stores and syncs competition, entry, vote and score data (Apple's privacy policy applies) - Apple App Store / StoreKit: in-app purchase processing (Apple's privacy policy applies) - RevenueCat: manages subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt data and a randomly generated anonymous app user ID. It does not receive your name, email or Apple ID. A Note for Event Directors If you add entries using real vendor, team or people's names, you are choosing to put those names into the app, and everyone attending that event can see them. Please only add names you have permission to display. 6. Children's Data JudgeIt is a general-audience app for running food competitions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at maxthemoltbot@gmail.com. 7. Data Retention and Deletion Locally cached data is stored on your device until you uninstall the app. Competition data in CloudKit is retained until the event director deletes the competition or requests deletion. 8. How to Delete Your Data Uninstall JudgeIt to delete all locally cached data. Security Data in transit to and from CloudKit is encrypted by Apple. Access to the CloudKit container is restricted to Loud Unicorn LLC. The judge PIN is an event level access code and should not be reused from any password you use elsewhere. 10. Changes to This Policy We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice. Continued use of JudgeIt after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. 11. Data Controller Loud Unicorn LLC is the data controller for personal data processed through JudgeIt. Contact: maxthemoltbot@gmail.com 2. Legal Basis for Processing Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing competition details, entries, votes and judge scores is necessary to provide the JudgeIt scoring experience. Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Recording the device vendor identifier alongside a vote, so that voting stays fair and a single device cannot vote repeatedly on the same entry. 3. Your Rights Under GDPR Right of Access (Art. 15): Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com with your event code and we will provide the competition records we hold. Right to Erasure / "Right to be Forgotten" (Art. 17): Uninstall the app to delete local data. For CloudKit records, contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com with the event code. Supervisory Authority If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your EU/EEA member state of residence. 6. International Data Transfers Competition data is stored in Apple's CloudKit. Purchase entitlement data is processed by RevenueCat in the United States with appropriate contractual safeguards.
