1. About JudgeIt
JudgeIt is a scoring app for cook-offs, chili contests, BBQ competitions and similar food events. An event director creates a competition, adds entries, and sets weighted scoring criteria. JudgeIt generates a QR code for each entry so attendees can scan and rate dishes from one to five stars, while judges score on the weighted criteria through a PIN protected panel. People's Choice and Judge's Choice are tracked separately, results appear on a live leaderboard, and the event finishes with an animated reveal. Full results can be exported as a PDF.
2. Who Can Use JudgeIt
JudgeIt is intended for general audiences. By downloading the app, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms.
3. Permitted Uses
- Create and run food competitions as an event director
- Rate entries as an attendee by scanning a booth QR code
- Score entries as a judge using an event's judge PIN
- Export your own competition results as a PDF
- Use the app on your personal Apple devices
4. Prohibited Uses
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the app
- Attempting to bypass the one vote per device limit, or otherwise manipulating the results of a competition
- Attempting to access a judge panel without the event director's permission
- Adding entry names, or any other content, that you do not have the right to display

5. Event Director Responsibilities
If you create a competition, you decide what goes into it. You are responsible for the entry names and event details you enter, for having permission to display the names of vendors, teams or people, and for sharing the judge PIN only with the people you intend to act as judges. Anyone who scans a booth QR code for your event can see the entry names in it.
6. Results Are Yours, Not Ours
JudgeIt records and totals the scores that attendees and judges submit. It does not verify who submitted them or arbitrate the outcome of a competition. The final result of your event, and any prize or decision that follows from it, is a matter for you and your participants. Loud Unicorn LLC is not responsible for disputes about the outcome of a competition.
7. Free Tier and Subscriptions
JudgeIt is free to use for one event with up to ten entries. JudgeIt Pro removes those limits and is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually.
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store, and entitlements are managed via RevenueCat. Current pricing is shown on the paywall inside the app and on the App Store product page.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time.
Purchases are processed by Apple. No refunds are issued except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy. The Restore Purchases feature is available to reactivate a subscription on a new device.
8. Availability and Connectivity
JudgeIt syncs competition data through Apple's CloudKit and needs an internet connection to work. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we are not responsible for connectivity problems at your venue.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
JudgeIt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Loud Unicorn LLC's total liability for any claim arising from your use of JudgeIt shall not exceed the amount you paid to Loud Unicorn LLC in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10.00 USD, whichever is greater.
