WHAT DATA WE COLLECT Account Information: When you sign up or join a squad, we collect your name and any profile information you provide. If you're the bride, we may collect additional preferences about how you'd like your experience customized. This information stays associated with your account. Precise Location Data: Maid of Honor OS requires access to your device's GPS to function. We use precise geolocation to trigger location-based (geofenced) missions during gameplay and to track your position relative to mission zones in real time. Location data is collected only while you're actively using the app or participating in a game. You can disable location access in your iOS Settings, but geofenced mission features will not work without it. Gameplay and Squad Data: We collect your player name, team assignment, game scores, mission completion status, and leaderboard rankings. This data is necessary to run squad-based competitions and allow your group to see shared results and rankings. Device and Authentication Data: We collect your device identifier and iOS version to authenticate your session, prevent unauthorized access, and detect fraud or abuse. In-App Purchases: When you purchase premium features, Apple handles your payment information directly. We receive purchase receipts and access records to manage which premium features your account can use. Analytics: We collect non-identifying gameplay metrics such as which features you use, how long your sessions last, whether you complete missions, and which game modes you play most. This helps us improve the app experience. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. DEVICE STORAGE VS. SERVER SYNC On Your Device: Your device stores your local game progress, profile settings, mission history, and any downloaded content. This data remains private to your device until you sync it. On Our Servers: When you join a squad or complete a game, squad data and scores sync to our servers so all group members can see shared results and compete together. We store your account information and squad data permanently (until you delete your account). Location data is processed on-device to trigger missions; we do not permanently log your location history on our servers. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Maid of Honor OS uses Apple's standard iOS frameworks (CloudKit for data sync, StoreKit for payments) to manage accounts and payments. We do not integrate third-party analytics platforms, ad networks, or additional location tracking services. CHILDREN This app is intended for adults planning bachelorette celebrations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
