Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY — PetPing PetPing helps pet owners remember feeding, walking, and medication routines. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. INFORMATION WE COLLECT Pet Information: You provide your pet's name, breed, age, size, and lifestyle details. This information is stored on your device and synced to our servers to enable household sharing and backup. Reminders and Schedules: The app stores your custom feeding, walking, and medication schedules on your device. These schedules sync to our servers so your household members can access them. Medication Logs: When you log medications, record vet visits, or track weight and health metrics, this data is stored on your device and synced to our servers for household access and backup. Household Sharing: To enable free household sharing, we create a household identifier associated with your account. When you invite household members, their account identifiers are linked to access shared pet data. Push Notifications: To send time-sensitive feeding and medication reminders, we use Apple's push notification service. Your device token is sent to our servers to deliver notifications and is not retained longer than necessary. Account Information: If you create an account (required for household sharing and Pro features), we store your email address and authentication credentials. Subscription Information: Pro subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. We do not see your payment information. We receive confirmation that your subscription is active to unlock Pro features. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Your complete pet, reminder, and medication data is always stored locally on your device first. You can use PetPing fully offline. Syncing to our servers happens in the background and is necessary only for household sharing and backup. WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT We do not collect location data. We do not collect information about your other apps, contacts, or health data beyond what you explicitly enter. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for marketing or advertising. WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH Household members you explicitly invite can access all shared pet data. We do not share your data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. We use standard cloud infrastructure to store your data securely. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES PetPing uses Apple's push notification service to deliver reminders and Apple's in-app purchase framework (StoreKit) to handle subscriptions. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to these services. DATA SECURITY Your data is transmitted to our servers using encryption. We store your data on secure servers and limit access to authorized personnel only. No security measure is perfect; we recommend not entering highly sensitive medical information for your pets beyond what is necessary for medication reminders. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION Your data is retained while your account is active. If you delete the app, your data remains on our servers for 30 days to allow recovery. You can request permanent deletion of all your data by emailing hello@loudunicorn.com. Household members retain access to shared pet data if they remain in the household group after your account is deleted. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy occasionally.
