Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY — QUICKGUARD FAMILY SETUP OVERVIEW QuickGuard Family Setup ("the App") is a parental control configuration tool designed to help parents and children set up device restrictions quickly. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is handled. DATA WE COLLECT Setup Information: During the initial wizard, we collect device identifiers (UDID/UUID), device model, OS version, and account information for both parent and child devices. We also collect the names and ages you provide for family members, and your email address for account recovery and subscription purposes. Configuration Data: We store the specific parental control settings you configure—including app restrictions, screen time limits, content filters, and scheduled downtime periods. This configuration data is created locally on your device during setup. Subscription Data: If you subscribe to ongoing schedule management, we collect billing information including your iTunes account identifier and subscription status. Payment processing is handled by Apple—we do not store credit card details. Usage Analytics: We collect limited analytics about setup completion (which steps are completed, time to completion, setup errors). These analytics contain no personal identifiers and are used only to improve the setup experience. Device Logs: We may collect device system logs if the setup wizard encounters errors, solely to diagnose configuration failures. DATA RETENTION AND SYNC BEHAVIOR Setup Completed Locally: All parental control configurations created during the onboarding wizard remain on-device. The parent and child device do not sync configuration data through our servers by default. Subscription-Related Data: If you subscribe to our $2.99/month service for ongoing schedule management and remote widget control, your subscription status and billing history are stored on Apple's servers and synced to our backend only as needed to validate your subscription status. Analytics: Setup analytics are sent to our servers and retained for 30 days for the purpose of improving the wizard experience. These logs do not include device identifiers or personal names. Account Recovery: Your email address is stored on our servers to enable password reset and account recovery functionality. Third-Party Services We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking libraries. The App uses only Apple's standard frameworks (HealthKit, ScreenTime, Family controls APIs) for core functionality. We do not share data with third parties except Apple for subscription processing. LEGAL REQUESTS We will comply with lawful requests from law enforcement or courts for user data only to the extent legally required. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY This App is designed for family use. Parents control what data is collected about children. We do not knowingly collect data from children independently. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy occasionally.
