Last updated: 2026-08-22 SANDCASTLE ARCHITECT PRIVACY POLICY Sandcastle Architect is designed to keep your data on your device. We collect minimal information and are transparent about what we do with it. DATA WE COLLECT Beach Selection When you enable tide notifications, you select a beach location for real-time tide alerts. We send this beach name to the National Weather Service API to fetch tide data for your chosen location. This is the only data transmitted to external servers. The National Weather Service has its own privacy policy governing their use of this information. Notification Preferences Your choices about tide notifications and build reminders are stored on your device only. You can change these settings at any time. App Usage We do not collect analytics, crash reports, diagnostic data, or information about how you use the app. The app runs entirely offline except when fetching tide data, and we do not log or analyze those requests. DATA THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE All of the following remains private to your device: - Every sandcastle structure you build and save - Your complete undo/redo history for all projects - Your survival logs and castle library - Tide test results, scores, and failure points - Your architectural style preferences and selected presets - All save files and their unique identifiers - Your game progress, restore points, and onboarding status This data is entirely yours. If you uninstall Sandcastle Architect, all data stored on your device is deleted. You can export your save files at any time for backup or sharing. DATA SENT OUTSIDE THE APP Only your selected beach location is sent to external servers—specifically, to the National Weather Service API, which provides current and predicted tide data. This request occurs each time you manually fetch updated tide information or when a scheduled tide notification is triggered. We do not store, track, or log these requests on our own servers. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS Tide alerts and build reminders are generated entirely on your device using real tide predictions that you have downloaded locally. These notifications are not sent from our servers. You control whether you receive them and can disable each type independently. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Sandcastle Architect uses only standard Apple frameworks. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated. NO ANALYTICS, NO ADVERTISING, NO SELLING YOUR DATA We do not collect analytics about your gameplay. The app contains no advertisements. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY If we update this policy, we will post the new version in the app and update the date at the top.
