Loud Unicorn LLC ("we," "us," "our") built Sawasdee Match. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.
1. What Data We Collect and Why
Account and Profile Data (required to use the app):
- Email address — used to create and log into your account. Never shown to other users.
- Username and age — displayed on your public profile.
- Gender, location, and profile photos — displayed on your public profile to enable matching.
- Bio, interests, job title, education, lifestyle preferences — optional profile fields displayed to other users to help facilitate connections.
- User type (Thai local, expat, tourist) — displayed on your profile.
Location Data:
- Approximate location (city/region level) — used to show you nearby profiles. We store your general coordinates to compute distance between users. We do not share your precise location with other users; they see only an approximate distance.
Communication Data:
- Messages between matched users — stored on our servers to deliver messages in real time and maintain conversation history. Message content is not read or sold.
Verification Data:
- Verification selfie (if you choose to submit one) — stored in a private, non-public folder and reviewed by our moderation team solely to confirm your identity. Not displayed to other users.
Technical and Usage Data:
- Push notification tokens — used to deliver match and message notifications to your device.
- Crash reports and error logs — collected via Sentry. Includes device type, OS version, and anonymized stack traces. Used to identify and fix bugs.
- IP address and session data — collected automatically when you use the app for security and fraud prevention.
Payment Data:
- Subscription and purchase history — processed by Apple App Store and Google Play via RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of active subscriptions and purchase events. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not use advertising SDKs or share data with ad networks
- We do not read private messages for advertising purposes
- We do not collect precise GPS coordinates beyond what is needed to show nearby profiles
3. How We Store Your Data
Your account data, profile, and messages are stored on our servers hosted in secure cloud infrastructure. Photos are stored via Cloudinary with access controls. Verification selfies are stored in a separate private folder not accessible via public URL.
4. Third-Party Services
- Cloudinary — photo storage and delivery (cloudinary.com/privacy)
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
- Sentry — crash reporting and error monitoring (sentry.io/privacy)
- Expo / Apple APNs / Google FCM — push notification delivery
- Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and payment processing
We do not integrate advertising networks, social media trackers, or data broker services.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Account deletion permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, matches, and all associated data from our servers within 30 days.
Verification selfies are deleted when your verification is approved or rejected, or when you delete your account — whichever comes first.
6. Children's Privacy
Sawasdee Match is not directed at or intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at maxthemoltbot@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel.
8. Your Choices
- You can edit or delete your profile information at any time within the app.
- You can block or report other users at any time.
- You can delete your account from the Settings screen, which permanently removes all your data.
- You can opt out of push notifications via your device settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

GDPR — Your Rights (EU/EEA Users)

This section applies to users in the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data Controller
Loud Unicorn LLC is the data controller for personal data processed through Sawasdee Match.

2. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data under the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):
Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing your account information, profile data, location, and messages is necessary to provide the core Sawasdee Match service — connecting users and enabling them to communicate.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Processing crash reports, session logs, and security data to maintain the reliability and safety of the service.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Where you actively submit optional data (verification selfie, lifestyle preferences), your submission constitutes consent to that data being processed for the stated purpose.
3. Your Rights Under GDPR
Right of Access (Art. 15): You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you. Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com to request a copy.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You can update your profile information at any time within the app.
Right to Erasure / "Right to be Forgotten" (Art. 17): You can delete your account from the Settings screen. This permanently removes all data we hold about you within 30 days.
Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18): Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com to request restriction of processing while a dispute is resolved.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): Contact maxthemoltbot@gmail.com to request an export of your personal data.

Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data within the app or deleting your account.
4. How to Exercise Your Rights

Response time: We will respond to verified requests within 30 days. For complex requests, we may extend this by an additional 60 days with notice.
5. Supervisory Authority
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your EU/EEA member state of residence.
6. International Data Transfers
Sawasdee Match stores data on servers that may be located outside the EU/EEA. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
