Last updated: 2026-08-05 PRIVACY POLICY – SECRET SANTA ORGANISER What We Collect When you use Secret Santa Organiser, we collect: Group Code: When you create a Secret Santa group, we generate and store a unique access code on our servers. This code is transmitted when group members join so they can find the correct group. Participant Names: Each group member's chosen name or display name is entered in the app. These names are stored on each user's device and are used to generate the match list. Wishlist Items: All wishlist entries—product names, descriptions, links, or notes—are stored only on the device where they were entered. Wishlist data is not sent to our servers. Budget Information: Any budget preferences or spending limits you set stay on your device only. Match Results: When the app draws Secret Santa matches, the assignment (who buys for whom) is computed on your device and not transmitted to our servers. Purchase History: If you buy the $0.99 seasonal premium pass or $2.99 unlimited-groups pass, Apple processes the transaction. We receive only confirmation that a purchase occurred, not card details or payment information. Device Diagnostics: We collect iOS version, app version, and anonymized crash reports to fix bugs. These help us ensure the app works reliably on your specific iOS version. What Stays On Your Device All participant names, wishlist items, budget settings, and match results are stored locally on your phone. They are never uploaded to our servers unless a technical error occurs. When you delete the app, all local data is erased. What We Send to Our Servers Only the group access code and a notification that a draw has occurred are transmitted to our servers. We do not send participant names, wishlists, match results, or any personal information. Our servers use this data only to keep the group active and accessible to its members. Third-Party Services We use Apple's in-app purchase system to process payments for premium features. We use Apple's crash reporter for bug diagnostics. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising platforms, or data brokers. Data Retention and Deletion Group codes are retained on our servers for 90 days after the last activity, then permanently deleted. Your local app data persists on your device until you delete the app. To request deletion of your group's server records before the 90-day window, contact hello@loudunicorn.com. Children This app is not designed for children under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 has used the app, we will delete their associated group data upon request.
