Last updated: 2026-08-20 PRIVACY POLICY FOR SOLAR INSTALL CALC PRO OVERVIEW Solar Install Calc Pro is designed as an offline tool. We collect minimal data, store nothing on our servers about your calculations, and do not require an account to use the app. WHAT DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT The app does not collect, store, or transmit any of the calculations, wire sizes, load factors, voltage drops, grounding sizes, battery depths, or breaker selections you enter. No calculation history is sent to us. We do not track which tools you use or how often you use them. We do not know your location, job sites, or project details. WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE All calculator inputs, results, and notes remain on your iPhone. The NEC lookup tables, conduit fill formulas, load diversity math, and voltage drop estimates run entirely offline on your device. We have no access to this information. WHAT DATA WE DO COLLECT We collect standard Apple usage data through the iOS App Store and Xcode analytics, including: - Crash reports (to fix bugs) - General app launch and session counts (to measure if the app is being used) - Purchase events related to the paywall (handled by Apple StoreKit; we receive only confirmation that a purchase succeeded, not payment details) This data is aggregated and used only to improve app stability and understand if people are finding the app useful. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES The paywall for in-app purchases uses Apple's StoreKit 2 framework, which is built into iOS. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not use external analytics services, ad networks, or third-party SDKs beyond Apple's standard frameworks. APPLE FRAMEWORKS Like all iOS apps, Solar Install Calc Pro may use Apple frameworks for: - Crash reporting (MetricKit) - Basic usage analytics (App Store Connect) - In-app purchasing (StoreKit 2) Review Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles this data. DATA RETENTION Because your calculations never leave your device, we retain no calculation data. App usage metrics provided to us by Apple are kept for as long as necessary to troubleshoot bugs and are deleted after 90 days. YOUR CHOICES You can limit Apple's collection of app analytics by going to Settings > Privacy > Apple Analytics on your device. You can delete the app at any time, which removes all data stored locally on your phone. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal changes. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify users of material changes via the App Store.
